The Leys Hatch Opening
So, where were we?The answer is simple: we didn’t go anywhere!
Yes, we had to put up shop for a while to make way for new landscaping, new free table tennis tables, and new social seating. Please do come and enjoy them, mix with friends and make new ones.
But now we are back open, serving food and drinks with a smile, our takeaway hatch remarkably in almost the exact same spot as the first time we served up your favourite Coffee Shed milkshake. Has it really been 11 years?
We may have a new name, Courtside at The Leys, but we’re the same team. We may have a new menu, but we’re still serving yummy food. We may have a new home, but we’re offering the same warm welcome.
Opening at Easter time has particular relevance for us. Easter is a time of change, renewal and triumph. Everyone no doubt knows that our transformational project on The Leys has been something of a trial, taking us far longer and costing us far more than we’d expected. But we’re humbled by the support of our partner Witney Town Council and local people, and we can’t wait to serve you in the weeks, months and years ahead. Your loyalty will keep us going.
For now, as part of a phased opening, we’re offering a takeaway menu, alongside free table tennis, our reopened mini golf course and the reinstated skatepark. We’re working hard to finish off your new multi-activity hub as soon as possible in time for the summer: padel, tennis, netball, basketball, pickleball, shuffleboard all await, with a brand new cafe and indoor studio too. We call all this ‘a brew, a loo and lots to do’ and we thank you for your patience as these facilities take shape.
See you on The Leys!
