Who is Courtside?
We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) dedicated to bringing people together and helping them be active, both physically and socially.
We believe that everyone should have equal access to a healthier and happier life which is why we’re on a mission to transform outdoor public spaces into places where communities can come together to exercise and socialise in an accessible and inclusive environment.
How do we achieve this?
We don’t require membership. Whether you’re booking a court in the park or looking for tennis coaching sessions, we offer pay-as-you-go booking to reduce the cost barrier to exercise.
Our group tennis coaching programmes in the parks are tailored to the ability of players on court, from first timers to more advanced players, we make sure that everyone is supported when developing their game. Our current programme offering has coaching at Weston Park, Millhouses Park and Goodwin Sports Centre, for adults of all levels and children between the ages of 4 and 12.
We also offer half-term tennis camps for kids during the school holidays, which a full of fun, learning and tennis games. Coached by Reuben and assisted by James, these camps are a great way to learn new skills and meet new friends!
Alongside operating 9 sites across the beautiful parks in Sheffield, group coaching sessions and tennis camps, we are in the process of building a multi-activity hub and community café in Hillsborough Park to provide a space for residents of Sheffield to come together and be active – find out more about the project HERE.
Why play tennis in the park?
